Mahjouba project at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen
e are thrilled to share the remarkable collaboration we had with artist Eric van Hove at the Mahjouba project, hosted by the esteemed Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. This project was a testament to the power of community engagement and traditional craftsmanship, as we joined forces with various craftsmen and locals to work on an electric scooter.
One of the highlights of our involvement was the opportunity to showcase our expertise in ebru / paper marbling on leather. We meticulously adorned the scooter's side bags with intricate and mesmerizing patterns, adding an elegant touch of cultural heritage to the overall artwork. It was a gratifying experience to contribute our traditional craftsmanship to such a unique and innovative project.
To celebrate the completion of the electric motor and the unveiling of this extraordinary creation, a festive event was held at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen today. We were thrilled to take center stage during the event, offering an enthralling ebru / paper marbling demonstration and workshop. It was a joyous occasion where art enthusiasts and locals came together to witness the fusion of modern technology and traditional artistry.
The Mahjouba project by Eric van Hove exemplifies the power of artistic collaboration and cultural preservation. It showcases how the synergy of different crafts and skills can give rise to something truly exceptional. We feel immensely proud to have been part of this extraordinary journey, and we eagerly anticipate the impact it will have on the art community and beyond.
